It´s the weekend and I have just finished my fourth week of Spanish classes and the last I will have with Alejandro, the director of the school Today he said on Monday I will have a new teacher. Alas. So far it´s mostly been tutorial as the school has few students in toto and none at my elementary level. This is not what I expected, but nothing else is either! So it goes. Liliana from Santa Fe is supposed to come here to Buenos Aires this weeknd but I haven´t had word fro here for a few days. It´s been raining for four days straight but is supposed to clear on on Sunday. I do hope this is true. Tonight I go to Club Gricel with Petre provided her cold doesn´t worsen. Whatever happens, it´s fin de semana and that alone is fantastico! Bailamos?

Hello/hola,
I finally figured out how to access your blog, thanks to others in church who are more computer-savy than me. It sounds like you’re having a real adventure-with all the surprises, highs and lows, that come with trying to integrate yourself into a city and culture that’s already in process. Thanks for taking the time to blog us. Your adventure is as close to Argentina as I’m likely to get-except their wine. I hope you’re enjoying their wine and taking notes to share with us when you get back. Pat is beginning to get a feel for us here and visa versa. I think it will be a good experience for all concerned. We miss you, and pray that your adventure brings you a wealth of life-enriching experiences. Keep us updated.
Ron, thanks so much for your note! I love hearing from you guys!
I had a great new wine recently-Tennat, I believe it is called. I was
told by a guy in his shoe store that this grape is the only one native to Argentina.
So I had to try. It’s very soft and has a deep and rich flavour. The color is deep red–very, very nice!
It´s from the region called Salta, not Mendoza. I’ll drink some for you tonight! Haha!
